Otra Kraft DA is a hydro-electric power company that was established on September 1, 1960. The enterprise is owned by Agder Energi and Skagerak Energi. The purpose of Otra Kraft was to develop electric power in the upper part of the Otra river-system in Setesdalen. This included development of water reservoirs, pumping plants and power stations. Brokke power station became operational in 1964 and Holen power station in 1981. In October 2014 was Skarg power plant and dam Sarvsfossen finalized. The average production for the company is 2 600 GWh in a normal year. One of the excursions in connection with ICOLD 2015 will go to Setesdalen. There will be an opportunity to visit Brokke power station and dams in Sarvsfossen and Vatnedalsvatn. Dam Sarvsfossen is a 50 m high double curvature arch dam. Dam Vatnedalen is a 120 m high rockfill dam with moraine core.
